Overview: We have developed a variational theorem for the scattering length in the presence of dipole-dipole interactions. This theorem applies in three dimensions to a spinless dipolar Bose gas. We analytically calculated the long-range tails of the single-particle momentum distribution and the static structure factor, and the paired distribution function at the short range. The momentum distribution is inversely proportional to $q^4$ with an anisotropic prefactor. In the absence of dipole-dipole interactions, Tan’s adiabatic sweep theorem reproduces as a specific case. For homogeneous dilute Bose gas, all relationships are calculated analytically.
