Overview: An adiabatic preparation technique called adiabatic spiral has been proposed for the Heisenberg model. This technique is suitable for implementation in many quantum simulation platforms, such as Rydberg atoms, trapped ions, and superconducting qubits. Classical simulations of small systems suggest successful implementations in the near future. A comparison with the trottered time evolution is performed and shows that the adiabatic spiral outperforms the trottered adiabasis.
