Overview: Near the demixing transition, the degrees of freedom associated with relative density fluctuations in a two-component Bose-Einstein condensate are described by the non-dissipative Landau-Lifshitz equation. For the quasi-one-dimensional weakly immiscible case, this mapping surprisingly predicts that the dark bright soliton should oscillate when subjected to a constant force that favors the separation of the two components. We propose a realistic experimental implementation of this phenomenon, which we interpret as the spin Josephson effect in the presence of movable barriers.
